Geoffrey has a 20-year cumulative experience in Microfinance operations having started out his career as a Credit Officer at HOFOKAM Microfinance Ltd where he worked for 1 year. He later joined FINCA Uganda Ltd (MDI) in 2001 rising from a position of Credit Officer through Branch Supervision and Branch Management to a Management Accountant and Head of Treasury in a stint lasting 12 years. After FINCA (U) Ltd (MDI), he also worked with Bayport Financial Services Uganda as a Deputy CFO/Accountant for close to a year before joining ENCOT Microfinance Ltd in 2014 as a Finance and Administration Manager before joining VisionFund Uganda in 2021.
He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and holds the CPA (U) professional qualification.
Geoffrey is also holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies (Accounting) from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), a Diploma in Project Planning and Management accredited by the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) and a Uganda Diploma in Business Studies from the Makerere University Business School (MUBS).
He was a member Board of Governors [Chair Finance Committee] for Kabalega Secondary School, Masindi for three years ending February 2022 and a volunteer on the Partnership Committee at Shalom Child Development Centre, Masindi under the auspices of Compassion Uganda/International.
Geoffrey is a Born again Christian who professes Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour, married to one wife and together they have three children.
Philliam’s ICT experience covers more than 15 years especially in ICT project implementation, migration, documentation and training. He is conversant on banking solutions such as T24, ORBIT, EQUINOX, FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS, E-banking, POS and mobile banking, among others. Mwesigwa is a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills and has keen interest in banking and IT management.
Philliam holds PGDCS, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, TILV3, Comptia Security+, CCNA, MCP, MCSA, Comptia A+ and is currently pursing CISA.
Adriane Basiima is our Business Development and Integration Manager.
He joined MED-Net in 2008 as a loan officer and managed to grow his career internally to positions of a Credit Supervisor, Branch Manager, Regional Credit Manager through Business Development and Integration Supervisor. With the support of VisionFund International, Adriane was at the forefront of our successful transition and re-branding from MED-Net to VisionFund Uganda in 2012.
Adriane holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a Major in Mathematics and Economics of Makerere University. He has also trained with different institutions including British Council on Management in Practice and School of African Micro-finance (SAM)-Mombasa in the areas of Agriculture Value Chain Finance, Customer Service Excellence, Savings Mobilization, Governance, Compliance & Regulation, Strategic Marketing and Branding.
He is a hardworking, ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic person with proven experience in stakeholder management and working with different partners towards business growth. He is always very flexible ready to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment especially when dealing with multiple tasks and priorities at the same time.
Adriane is a committed Catholic who fellowships at St. Mugagga Sub-Parish-Kamwokya Catholic Parish. For over 10 years, Adriane also subscribes as a member of Kamwokya Good Samaritan Community, very passionate about working and supporting communities with special needs.
